English physician and botanical writer. His “Temple of Flora” was published between 1799 and 1807 and is considered one of the most beautiful series of botanical prints ever produced. A total of 33 prints were published in aquatint, stipple and line engraving and some of the prints were dedicated to Queen Charlotte, patroness of botany and the fine arts.
